On the 25th and 26th of October, ACE MITEC accomplished a remarkable feat by hosting a two-day program titled “Leadership Qualities That Built Great Healthcare Leaders.” This program drew the participation of over 64 attendees, including hospital directors from across the nation, deputy directors from the “Jabatan Kesihatan Negeri” (State Health Department), and representatives from the “Bahagian Perkembangan Perubatan” (Medical Development Division) within the Ministry of Health.

What makes this program particularly noteworthy is that it marks the first instance of a tailor-made public course specifically designed for the Ministry of Health (MOH) with a focus on leadership development. The program was meticulously crafted to address the unique leadership needs within the healthcare sector. The core essence of this program revolved around exploring the essential qualities that are instrumental in shaping exceptional leadership within an organization. Effective leadership is not just about holding a position of authority; it’s about embodying qualities and behaviors that inspire and guide others. In this context, the program delved into the attributes and characteristics that make a leader capable of fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.

One key emphasis of the program was the importance of leaders seeking ways to enhance their team’s credibility and promote cooperation. In a healthcare setting, where teamwork and trust are critical, this message carries significant weight. Effective leaders understand that building trust and encouraging seamless cooperation among team members is fundamental to achieving the highest standards of care and performance.By offering this program, ACE MITEC has not only demonstrated its commitment to leadership development but has also acknowledged the pivotal role that healthcare leaders play in shaping the quality and effectiveness of healthcare services. The initiative reflects a proactive approach to equipping healthcare leaders with the knowledge and skills required to excel in their roles, ultimately contributing to the betterment of healthcare delivery and patient outcomes.
