Bachelor of Biomedical Science (Hons.)


This programme is designed following the growing needs of well trained workers in the healthcare industry. This course of study was structured to instill a good theoretical knowledge from the fundamentals of biological science up to the critical thinking aspects and blend together with the latest laboratory applications as well as the techniques. The programme will cater the needs of community in general, with highly specialized trained human resources equipped with knowledge on theory and practical aspects parallel with the development of our country and the increasing numbers of Malaysian citizens.

Entry Requirements

  • Pass Matriculation / Pre-University / STPM programme or equivalent qualification with minimum GPA 2.33 in TWO of the following subject:
  • 1. Biology
    2. Physics / Mathematics
    3. Chemistry
  • A-Level programme or equivalent qualification with minimum Grade D in TWO of the following subjects:
  • 1. Biology
    2. Physics / Mathematics
    3. Chemistry
  • Recognized Diploma with minimum CGPA of 2.75 in related field;
  • OR
  • Recognized Diploma with CGPA less than 2.75 in related field and minimum of 3 years (36 month) working experience in the related field.
  • * Local Student : Obtained MUET Band 3 or IELTS (5.5) / TOEFL (550)
    * International Student : Candidate should obtained IELTS (5.5) / TOEFL (550) paper-based or equivalent.

Program Learning Outcomes

Demonstrate an understanding of how communication shapes patterns of social interaction, the expression of cultural values and norms, political practices and relations of power, and our positions as local and global citizens.

Be able to use a variety of methodological tools to analyze interpersonal, intercultural, and rhetorical discourse that structures everyday interactions in both our public and private lives.

Demonstrate an understanding of the possibilities, problems, and history of discourse and deliberation in democracy and will be prepared to use their knowledge to work for a just and more humane world.
